EVERYDAY LIFE
People. Moods. Moments.
An illustrated world inspired by people, small moments and the wonderfully strange things
we notice when we're paying attention.
FOUND IN THE EVERYDAY
Everyday Life began with something I've always done watching people.
The expressions. The habits. The way somebody holds a cup, waits for a bus, looks across a room or disappears into their own thoughts.
Most of these moments aren't particularly important. That's probably why they're interesting.
Everyday Life is where those observations become characters — little pieces of personality caught somewhere between the ordinary and the slightly strange.
MEET THE PEOPLE WATCHER
Some people watch the world go by. Some make a habit of it.
THE PEOPLE WATCHER
Coffee in hand. Eyes somewhere else. Probably listening to a conversation that has absolutely nothing to do with him.
Just observing, of course.
More characters are always finding their way to the table.
FROM OBSERVATION TO CHARACTER
Sometimes a character starts with nothing more than a look.
A sideways glance, a small cup of coffee and a certain expression
were enough to start finding the character.
FIRST LINES
FINDING THE SHAPE
A small observation. Eventually, a whole character.
LIVE WITH EVERYDAY LIFE
A little character for the everyday.
Everyday Life doesn't have to stay in the sketchbook. Selected characters and observations
find their way onto prints, objects and pieces made for everyday life.
BRING THE OBSERVATION HOME
Characters inspired by ordinary moments, made to live beyond the page.
Selected Everyday Life pieces are available through the Glyphworks shop, with new characters and observations joining the collection as the world grows.
New pieces will be added as the world grows.
THE WORLD KEEPS GROWING.
New characters. New stories. New things to notice.
Café Brasil. Sound & Soul. Everyday Life.
Three illustrated worlds and plenty of characters still waiting to appear.
